Enough stress from the video. It's time to play!
It was always during my birthday that we had staycation at hotels, I thought it will be great to have it during hubby's turn this time round.
Chanced upon Quincy Hotel during my search for a good chill-out place, I was immediately intrigued by its modern outlook, classy suites and all-inclusive concept that keeps us well-fed and entertained with activities like baking classes and movie nights.
So we booked! A thoughtful me gave Hubby a surprise within surprise, with the obvious surprise being the short getaway stay and the surprise underneath being I don't intend to pay. Alright, I could do with a bit of subsidizing.

The stay at Quincy was splendid and I 'like' it on Facebook even before the stay. To know how good Quincy is, read my official review about it in English or Chinese at Lexuanwang.
Meanwhile, I will babble on with more personal stuff here.

Bearing through the infamous sunny rain that I thought can only happen in Singapore, we reached Quincy with wet, muddy toes, but unexpectedly, that didn't dampen our mood.

When I said all-inclusive, I really meant ALL-INCLUSIVE, which mean even minibar are complimentary. Unlike some hotels who make it a point to charge us for even a bottle of water (I don't care if it is evian), Quincy makes sure we remain hydrated in this hot weather. I could get thirsty quite often, and I appreciated for the 7 bottles of water in our room. Free.

After exploring the hotel's facilities, we believed it was wise to throw away the initial plan of going out and enjoyed the luxurious privacy the hotel could offer. So, we hit the pool! It was a rare chance to enjoy not just the pool, but even the sauna and steam room all to ourselves, until a lonely traveller came along. Aha!

Dinner soon came and we indulged in some creamy pasta and chicken fillet that was really hard.

We were about to leave when the Quincy team surprised us with a tiramisu birthday cake and a hand-written card for Hubby. On top of that, a lovely birthday song which was joined halfway by a group of spontaneous Caucasians. How sweet!

9pm and it was time for movie night. I didn't enjoy the movie as much, but it was really the combination of the sweet aroma from the popcorns and the occasional mild thunder in the background that almost lured me into a deep, peaceful sleep.

Good time passed just a bit too fast and it was lunch on the next day. Before checking out, we stuffed ourselves with generous portions of Nasi Goreng with hidden ikan bilis.

Quincy, I will see you soon again for my share of tiramisu and birthday song. Till then!
